Kalika Devi Temple Kalka

Kalika Devi Temple Kalka - Kali Mata Mandir at Panchkula is also called as Kalka Mandir which is a gateway to the eastern side of Himachal Pradesh. Actually Kalka is a town which is named because of Kali Mata Temple. This temple is one of the old shrines from Panchkula Temples. The name of this town is derived from the Hindu goddess Kali. The town is situated in the foothills of the Himalayas and is a gateway to the neighbouring state of Himachal Pradesh

According to legend, in the era of Satyug, Mahishasur, Chand-Munda, Shumbha-Nishumbha and bloodboys had increased the fury of the demons, so that the gods were afraid and scattered in the Kandras. One day all the gods praised Adivakti Shri Jagdamba Matthwari, which pleased the mother to appear in the form of a child.

Upon hearing the miseries of Gods, the mother expanded her appearance, with thousands of hands on her legs. All the deities gave their own weapon to Adishakti. Vishnu chakra, Shiva offered Trishul, Brahma kamandal, Indra Vajra, Sheshnag gave the balance, Yama Raj and Yamphans etc. to Artha Mata.

After this, Mother Jagdamba landed in the battlefield and was destroyed at the place of Kalka land, by destroying other demons including Mahishasur, which became famous in the name of Kali Mata in Kalka.

There is also a belief that when Lord Pandava lost his yagna in Dwapar era, he had 12 years of exile and one year old unknown. During that time he remained 12 years in Biratnagar. At that time, much of the cow was served in the state of Kavita King. At the same time a cow named Shyama used to consecrate the mother's pinda with his milk daily. Pandavas were surprised to see this charisma and the Pandavas established the temple at this place.
